Mosquito Coast
By Kiriakoula Pepe from London , 08 Aug 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
I thought this movie was excellent, but then anything that Harrison Ford is in usually is. I saw it some years ago and even though it was the second time around for me I enjoyed it immensely. Harrison is a very gifted actor and he makes you believe the story, his portrayal of the almost 'mad professor' was flawless and the children were so professional in their approach. Excellent and well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

(19)suprisingly brilliant
By cheesekake (1277 reviews) from uk , 28 Mar 2013wasn't sure what to make of this film at first, but being a Harrison Ford fan wanted to at least see it. Found this film very gripping. Ford's character descends slowly into madness while dragging his family along for the ride, and you can't help but watch it. well worth watching- Was this review helpful to you?

Mosquito Coast
By NICKJOJO (255 reviews) from Surrey , 28 Sep 2011Not quite as exciting as i remember it when i first saw it. It has aged rather albeit Harrison Ford puts in a good performance. Helen Mirren looks and sounds as though she hated every minute of filming and the storyline doesn't really go anywhere. Ah well an hour or two envelpoed in memory.- Was this review helpful to you?

Manic jungle quest
By Ferry41 (221 reviews) from Oxford , 28 Feb 2011OK but at the end of the day disappointing. Mum and kids follow Dad into the jungle to escape civilisation and do what? Not particularly clear.- Was this review helpful to you?

Maybe I should have read the book first...
By BeccyMalloi (124 reviews) from Kersey, Suffolk , 17 Nov 2010...as I get the feeling it's one of those cases where the book is better than the film. Though I liked what I watched it felt like it was all being rushed along fairly quickly ...I would have liked to have seen the relationships between the characters grow in the first half of the film, and find out a bit more about why the mercenaries were there- though it touched on it they really could have expanded on many of the scenes I think. Another thing I didnt like is that I found the main character really annoying (though I expect that would be the same in the book as well).- Was this review helpful to you?
