It's great when you get a sequel where all the main characters return with the original actors playing them. Set 10 years on, it's good to see an actress who isn't afraid to age for her role, as Rachel Weisz does.
Although the plot is not as strong as the first film the action sequences and special effects are top notch. The chemistry between Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz is as strong as ever, and makes their romance totally believable (some of the more soppy scenes I could have done without though).
The blokes will love the fight scene between Evie (as Nepherteri) and Anuk Su Namun (probably spelled wrong) very entertaining for them I'm sure.
All in all it's a very enjoyable film.
