Muppets generation
By a customer from Scotland , 09 Jul 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
This is my favourite Muppet film and has managed to move with the Muppets as the original audience grows up as well.
Spoofing both Moulin Rouge and It's a Wonderfull Life, this film is excellent. It's the darkest of all the Muppet films yet can easily be enjoyed by kids, adults, adult kids and the kid in every adult.- Was this review helpful to you?

(11)Not too good, really.
By Lelboy (269 reviews) from East London , 06 Aug 2010Definitely for Muppet freaks only. I was a Muppet fan when younger, and even though this film is entertaining, it's not a patch on most of the televised episodes. Shame, really.- Was this review helpful to you?

a big disappointment
By a customer from Winchester , 04 Jan 2010We're big Muppet fans but this is not up to usual standards. Partly because it's all over the place and jangly but mostly because it's far too adult in it's content. Call me old-fashioned but aren't references to topless bars, Miss Piggy reduced to peddling phone sex and a sex-obsessed prawn just pushing it a bit too far! I know all kids' films now have to ''appeal on all levels'' but I found this distasteful and also nastily violent in an adult way. Too many humans in it -the puppeteers are being lazy by not bothering to give us all those great Muppet extras. Missed opportunity, what a shame.- Was this review helpful to you?

That warm fuzzy feeling
By Cesia Leon from Wolverhampton, England , 16 Jun 2007Whilst keeping up the neccesarily charming (albeit almost disneyed) feel of all muppet movies, this unfortunately strays into sentimentality slightly too often. If you happen to be under twelve its a perfect way to spend your Christmas and it might just bring out some holiday spirit from everyone, but dont watch it in June...the sunny disposition of every character wears a little thin. Contains an inspired bit-part ny Whoopi Goldberg and a hilarious take on Moulin Rouge, and the sly asides are just risque enough to go over the tiddlers heads and leave adults something to keep them from chewing their own elbows, but still a bit dissapointing if thats all they're giving us for an hour and a half. Good, but not quite good enough.- Was this review helpful to you?
