I thought the theory behind this was as believable as any other bible story. There were a number of what could be called coincidences in the film, depending on your own point of view. The Da Vinci Code has put forward a creditable view and this film follows that trend. Fascinating, and considering how women were treated in those days by men, I am not surprised that as much of the story was hidden, after all, the Church is run by men and I think none of them could have coped with the Mother of the Bloodline existing and perhaps having more influence than they themselves!
