Veteran funnyman Ronnie Corbett is to receive a Commander of the Order of the British Empire medal (CBE) in Queen Elizabeth II's New Year's Honours list. Punk icon Patti Smith is to make her TV acting debut as a mythology professor on U.S. cop drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Actor Vincent D'onofrio is back on the force after leaving cop show Law & Order: Criminal Intent - he will replace Jeff Goldblum on the 10th season of the drama.
