    [Highly rated reviewer]

From the moment I heard the intro music, I felt a shiver down my spine. Goosebumps on my skin. It's the feeling of something epic about to come and so far this series has been just that.

I have been watching the series on Sky Premier HD, (Currently 4 episodes in) and can tell you it's worth every penny more in high def.

The acting and scene setting so far has been second to none, and I wouldn't expect anything less from hanks and spielberg.

I am waiting for the action to really get going, so far it has been a little tame, but tells a good story about what a soldier lives for, war and love.

If you are new to this genre then I would start with band of brothers - truly amazing also.

The only bad point i can make about this series is that it is a ten part mini series and the suspense is driving me insane. I want to see the next episode now!!

I cannot wait for the series to become for sale on blu ray and it is now a must have for any war enthusiast.

    Alex.

A bit like Band of Brothers except crap...What a waste of a rental choice- wish I hadn't bothered. A load of schmalzy sentimental propaganda doo doo. Only the Americans could waste so much money on cinema toilet paper. I was really dissapointed.

Well I've seen Band of Brothers and now Pacific. For me it wasn't as good as Band of Brothers, but I enjoyed it, so much that I bought the box set. Not as full on as Band of Brothers, but well worth the watch.

disappointed ,having seen band of brothers i thought it a pale shadow & having read the episode summarys on disc 1 it looked to me as though it was going to turn into a 'touchy feely' war a i decided not to watch the rest
