Rossum almost beat Lohan to Parent Trap twins

Phantom Of The Opera star Emmy Rossum has revealed she almost beat Lindsay Lohan for the role of twins in The Parent Trap remake. The two former child stars were both up for the roles of Hallie Parker and Annie James in the hit 1998 family film that propelled Lohan to stardom - but Rossum admits the sibling parts were almost hers. Actress Natasha Richardson has died after suffering serious head injuries in a skiing accident. She was 45. The Maid in Manhattan star, who was married to actor Liam Neeson, was taken to hospital in Montreal, Canada after the incident on the slopes of Mont Tremblant on Monday (16Mar09). Schindler's List star Neeson rushed to her bedside at the Hopital du Sacre-Coeur de Montreal as doctors battled to save her.
