Did I see a different film ?

Guess I watched a different film to everyone else, or maybe just went with a different attitude hoping and expecting to see lots of daft slapstick humour.
I saw exactly what I expected and totally enjoyed it, and with the other members of the audience laughing out loud as well, I guess I was not unique in my hopes.
Inspector Clouseau is a hilarious character and as Peter Sellers is no longer with us, it’s great to see an actor of Steve Martin’s calibre taking on the role. If they make a third I will be back to see that with the same attitude.- Was this review helpful to you?

steve martins fluidity
By a customer from inverness scotland , 25 Jan 2010exellant film considering the fact i was expecting an old classic to be hard to repeat and be any good in the fact that it would just be completely naff.But this was a joy to watch and very funny. steve martin the star as ever was fluidly exellant in executing his role and the other cast good as well.thoroughly enjoyed it...in fact we watched it twice.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Pink Panther 2

The wine bottle scene is a classic.
It hasen't been to modernised, and to my mind this film is a classic.

Not As Funny As The Original

Though in terms of the storyline and the movie overall, it was generally good!
I do like Steve Martin as an actor, but his role as Clouseau was over exaggerated in terms of acting and comedy, that kind of spoilt the funny side of things.
In terms of comedy, the original Pink Panther series with Peter Sellers wins by a long shot.
In terms of enjoyment and entertainment, Pink Panther 2 is well worth watching.
***Best Scene*** The best scene in the movie must surely be when Clouseau dresses up as the pope...that left me laughing like crazy!- Was this review helpful to you?
