    [Highly rated reviewer]

Im a big Steve Martin fan and although I wasn't really looking forward to seeing him, Id thought he could possibly be ok. How wrong I was, this film is atrochious, Martin's Clouseau is more like Mr Magoo than the self-clumsy greatness Sellers' was. There is no consistantcy with clouseau's characteristics. All the accents and dodgy speach changes throughout (Kevin Kline's French accent totally vanishes after 10 mins)

Avoid this like the plague. The only enjoyment I had from this movie was it made me immediatly watch my pink panther dvd boxset.

Parts of this movie were really rather funny. Although it is more of a farce than a comedy, therefore I guess it pretty much does what it says on the tin. Beyonce is pretty pointless in this, yes she can act, but she isn't really given much of a chance in this as her role is very 2 dimensional. Steve Martin is his usual self in this just with a dodgy French accent, so if you don't like Martin's style then give this a wide birth.

Very funny and enjoyable film! My children thoroughly enjoyed this over the holidays and this would be recommended family viewing.

This film is awful! Americans are not good at remaking British classics, Get Carter and Italian Job are just another coupleo examples. SteveMartn is dreaful as the bumbling Clouseau. Peter Sellers made that character his own, and no one can ever act as Clouseau again. The French accent is not amusing and heis not convincing as being stupid. Also was Kevin Kline suppose to be French?? Where was Kato? Acting all round is terrible!!

apart from a couple of films, steve martin is as funny as a tin of fish.in this, he surpasses himself in being even less so.peter sellers did ut brilliantly. so why not leave it? no.because hollywood just cant let things alone, especially when the mighty dollar is involved. i watched some of it,and what i watched was through teeth-clenched cringingness.even a 5 year old wouldnt find it remotely funny.
