    Creepy & Scary Chiller

This is a gem of a movie, starring James Vander Beek of dawson's creek fame,in the vein of night of the living dead,28days later, and many other movies.

This offers scares and chills and i very much enjoyed this, its a B-movie,but don't let that put you off,its really worth watching, not too gruesome, not too scary. But a film too watch and snuggle up with someone in the dark!

The Dvd is packed full of extras too.

    Worst. Film. Ever.

You know bad horror movies that are so bad that they turn really really good fun? This is not that film.

The whole thing looks like it was thrown together for a cheap television network--the acting is unbelievably bad (seriously, was the brother supposed to be handicapped or was he playing 'drunk'?), the effects were not good, and I'm not even kidding--the sound track was all done on a Casio keyboard. Danger approaching? Heavy plunks on the lower scale. Fight scene? Discordant thumpings on the piano. Wackiness? Plinky, plinky, plinky on the high end. It was unbelievably distracting.

As near as I can tell, the director got to the end of the movie, realized it made no sense, and just gave up. That is the only way I can rationlize the ending. Which did make you think. Just not anything but 'what the crap? and why did she...oh, never mind'.

So bad. It is truly not even worth a rental as a 'time killer' on a rainy afternoon. Avoid. Really. Go!

    What???!!!?!?!?!?!?

WelI I watched this film because of the bad reviews, I wanted to see just how bad it was. WOW I was not disappointed. James Van der Beek or 'The Beek' as I like to call him gives a woeful performance and the music for this film really is as bad as another reviewer stated. As for the plot and script, I think it was written by the producers kids after they had accidentally destroyed the real version in a 'teen movie' style shenanigan. And that ending was utterly nonsensical, I have no idea what was supposed to have happened. Something to do with that bit of paper and 'The Beek' gibbering on about 'the kingdom of Heaven'. Watch this film and lose all hope.

Or maybe I am too undeveloped in my sense of visual understanding and the film is sheer genius. Who knows.

Good idea - shame about the result

Saw this reviewed on a email newslettter I get. It sounded brill, but on watching it I thought it was quite boring. The eventual outcome was not what i expected or really well explained. As I mention in the header, the idea was great but the resulting film was bad.

The only horror is that this film exists.

I only wished I'd taken more notice of some of the other reviews, I think I've managed to avoid most really bad films but how I wish I'd missed this one! Try as I might I can't think of anything good about this film. I actually switched the film off part way through but ended up watching through to the end later just to see how it ended, again, I wish I hadn't bothered. Jessica's review just about sums my thoughts up so I'm not going to waste any more time on this one.

    what's the point?

I'd read the reviews and i should have listened! Pointless is what comes to mind. This film just doesn't make any sense and you never get any true answers. The deleted scenes did enlighten a bit but not much. Talking about those scenes, can someone tell me what is the point of deleting them from a film that's pretty short at the first place! And i won't even talk about the ending!
