Oh dear. Another good adventure novel by CS Forester ground into the dirt. Hornblower on TV is sub standard, but even it is better than this. Frank Sinatra (he won the peninsular war single handed you know) must be in the running for the worst ever accent for this. And why was Sophia Loren ever thought attractive? Bits of this are good, but don't bother if you have ever read the book - it'll drive you mad.
