Most helpful review
fantastic, not Disney but still fab-tastic!
By a customer from NEWCASTLE , 27 Jun 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
I love The Bible stories so this was really great for me to watch.'Exodus' is probably one of my favourite old testemant stories. even though it's not an epic like ' The Ten Commandments' but it is shorter for little tots. but this is something for adults to get into. when watching it the songs feel like an operah or massive stage musical. this animated film from Dreamworks Skg is the first in their successful bible stories. basically Moses{voiced by Val Kilmer} is raised by egyptians but is really jewish, hebrew. he finds out and runs away. but then God { also voiced by Val Kilmer} sends him on mission to lead the Jewish people out of slavery in Egypt and to the Promised Land where they are promised land filled with milk and honey. the storyline between Moses and his brother Rameses{voiced by Ralph Fiennes} is moving. Moses has his own girlfriend turned wife{voiced by Michelle Pfeiffer} his own sister Miriam { voiced by Sandra Bullock} his own brother Aaron{voiced by Jeff Goldblum.} the film also has Patrick Stewart voicing Pharoah Seti. highly reccomendable. for people who do or don't believe in The Bible.- Was this review helpful to you?

(26)Great retelling of the story of Moses' exodus
By Bubbylish (3 reviews) , 17 Jul 2012Brilliant. I watched this years ago when it was first released and as a retelling of the story of Moses, fairly true to the Biblical account with an artist's eye for the emotive bits in the story. Personally, before this film, I hadn't given thought to the fact that Pharoah may have been a close friend or brother of Moses, making the film and the conflict more poignant. Clear, entertaining film that would be great for kids.- Was this review helpful to you?

Give this a wide berth
By sdfilm (125 reviews) from Oxon , 08 Dec 2011I rented it mainly due to the voice talents and the fact that it was Dreamworks, but it is a real turkey! The story is boring and one that has been told about a trillion times before, in movies that are actually good. Dull, dull, dull and dull again.- Was this review helpful to you?

A majestic telling of the story of Moses
By VIDEOMONSTER (252 reviews) from Glasgow , 13 May 2011This is the story of Moses based on Christianity's book of Exodus. It is a brilliantly told story, with stunning animation, and beautifully written and performed songs. With an all star cast, this is a of Dreamworks animation masterpiece. One which all the family can enjoy and as the basic story is kept one which Muslim children can enjoy as well.- Was this review helpful to you?
