AWFUL TEDIOUS FILM
By RoyinLondon (13 reviews) , 03 Feb 2013I think Will Smith is great but this film is awful, it drags on and on and on and I ended up forwarding it to skip the monotonous parts. Very annoying film and frustrating, I just wasted 2 hours of my life on this dribble.- Was this review helpful to you?

Mainly Pursuit, very little Happyness
By Kingarthur (4 reviews) from BELFAST , 04 Jan 2013As this is a true story we cannot expect a fine balance between dark and light. However having just watched this with my wife and teenage son we all agreed it was a profoundly depressing tale. If you look carefully you might find about 63 seconds of Happyness. I will not spoil the film by telling you where this nugget will appear!- Was this review helpful to you?

Frantic, frenetic, traumatic, desperate---and that's just Will Smith's normal everyday life in this good film
By roncoach (365 reviews) from suffolk , 15 Oct 2012Will Smith is usually a class act. He meets expectations in this frenetic film about a life-style that just makes you feel as though you've run a marathon, lost all your relatives in a car crash and have a hyperactive disorder which is so terrifying that it should carry a health warning.
No idea what I'm talking about ?? Watch the film----it's worth seeing.
But it is SO harrowing in its desperation, franticness, trauma and anxiety-making ( and that's just Will Smith's average daily life !!!) that you feel exhausted by the end of this good film.
Will Smith runs , literally, around the city for large chunks of this film........because his car has been towed away or he's missed the bus or he can't afford a taxi.
He and his son ( played by his real-life little boy) make us all feel how glad we are to be leading a dull and boring life. NOBODY wants to swap places with Will Smith's character.
Talk about 'The Worst Week Of My Life' ............this movie makes you exhausted and desperate just watching it.
I know that sounds weird---but you'll see what I mean.
Watch it---it's good ( and you'll sleep well after it unless you imagine your own life can turn into Will Smith's nightmare reality).- Was this review helpful to you?
