Not for meBy a customer from Buckinghamshire , 19 Mar 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]The story revolves around Dot, a deaf mute. She is sent to live with her godparents and their daughter Nina, where she discovers the secrets of her new family. She learns of an incestuous relationship between Nina and her father, which has driven Nina into a mad state, and led her to plan the murder of her father. Knowing that Dot cannot (allegedly) speak or hear, and thus cannot tell anyone, Nina confides in her the actions of her father and her plans to murder him.I think most people will rent this to see Cuthbert but you don't see any flesh so it will probably dissapoint.

What a crocBy bustings (8 reviews) from England , 02 Mar 2013Well' i saw the front cover, saw two attractive women that look like they might 'get it on' together. But alas no lesby action at, very disapointing. The only upside was seeing Elishe Cuthbert in underwear, she has a hot bum. Also the Actress who plays her mum, Not a beauty in the face dept, but hubba hubba what a milf in the body dept, she gets everything out, very fit. Thats it really, the plot is crap and it slow and boring.
Ok thrillerBy BadBabe (40 reviews) , 02 Mar 2013Standard thriller with a obvious twist. Elisha Cuthbert and Camilla Belle are good. Enjoyed the Classical music and Beethoven's story.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideI loved this movie.
I sat up in the first 15 mins i was glued to the screen and just baffled by so many elements of the film.
It is a very sensitive film obviously about incest, but I like it because it is real! Anything you can think of this films has it.
It has sympathy for Dot, disgust for the father, you really don't know if to slap the mum or hug her, and you really feel for the daughter that is being abused.
There is the peer pressure element for her to lose her virginity but then she is holding a secret that she no longer has it.
It has so many twists to it. There is some humourous parts as well with Dot. She is a very smart girl in this movie. It is just a fine film.
I would watch it again and again.
I have already Included this Into my DVD collection.

Quite strange arthouse filmBy Carp37 (54 reviews) from Sheffield , 22 Jan 2011I'll be honest and say upfront that I rented this because Elisha Cuthbert and Camilla Belle are the stars. It's a fairly slow-paced psychological film that definitely won't be for everyone- not that much happens for most of it, and one of the main characters (Belle's) doesn't even have any dialogue. I quite enjoyed it (though it's definitely not a feelgood film), but if you've got a short attention span then give it a miss.
Bit sad, Bit twisted, but okBy Matt19 (31 reviews) from Peterborough,England , 13 Nov 2010This film was a bit sad and a bit twisted, i enjoyed this film as it teaches about secrets and lies nd what thy couldlead to and how dangerous secrets can be and get to.
