    total nostalga

This is a truly great release let down only by the print quality.

This BBC tv production is the original and by far and away best version of the story by E Nesbit. Everything is perfect and the acting stands out today.A good example Of black and white photography shining through and getting the mood of that time in history. Far better than the EMI film of the 70's and the ITV remake that was total rubbish. If the picture quality had been better I could have given it 5 stars many times over.

    Good old fashioned fun

This is a delightful BBC series from the days of yore. Gillian Bailey as Phyllis is absolutely adorable! Leaves one with the 'warm and fuzzy' feeling that one loves.
