creepy
I really liked this. The story is basically centred around these red shoes (they looked pink to me actually!) that has an unpleasant legend behind them. Cursed i should say. Good shocks, and just enough bloody bits. Watch it!!

confused story overpowers any scares
The premise looked interesting but the story is so mixed up that half way through I just gave up and frankly couldn't care less who lived or died and given the 'twist' at the end it wasn't something I regretted. I can understand that if all the horror films played the same formula exactly then it would be monotonus but this was more a matter who losing grasp of the story completely and just throwing one thing after another at it to try and add more depth but mainly just making it more is less. Not recommended unless you are truly desperate and think that a mother wrestling a pair of shoes from her 4 year old daughter is terrifying.

Martin Scorsese is to introduce a special screening of restored movie classic THE RED SHOES at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
