    creepy

I really liked this. The story is basically centred around these red shoes (they looked pink to me actually!) that has an unpleasant legend behind them. Cursed i should say. Good shocks, and just enough bloody bits. Watch it!!

    Pity

I was looking forward to seeing this film, but half way through it, I found myself getting a bit bored. I've really enjoyed Eastern horror films in the past, mostly because it was refreshing to watch something that deviated from the Hollywood formula for scary movies, but watching this, I felt as though it had all been done before. (Which is unusual considering the obscure and unusual nature of the plot.)

I can see why people might like this film, but I didn't.

    The Pink Shoes

Good and sometimes graphic, story done repeatedly in asian cinema, but still a good watch

    confused story overpowers any scares

The premise looked interesting but the story is so mixed up that half way through I just gave up and frankly couldn't care less who lived or died and given the 'twist' at the end it wasn't something I regretted. I can understand that if all the horror films played the same formula exactly then it would be monotonus but this was more a matter who losing grasp of the story completely and just throwing one thing after another at it to try and add more depth but mainly just making it more is less. Not recommended unless you are truly desperate and think that a mother wrestling a pair of shoes from her 4 year old daughter is terrifying.

    Enjoyable Asian Hokum

Interesting plot. Nothing terribly unusual in screenplay, acting or direction, but quote enjoyable nevertheless.

    i'm an idiot

the link to this film appeared at the bottom of an article about powell and pressburger's 'the red shoes' being shown at canes, so i presumed that was the film i was rating, not this one. i have never seen this film, and neither do i want to. if anyone can tell me how to clear a rating, i would be very grateful. thanks.

    A Waste of Resources

(Film seen by mistake, in place of Marius Goring classic!) Crude attempt at frightening the viewer. Dull, slow, repetitive, sometimes incoherent.

    Fab

I really thoroughly enjoyed this film. I had pretty low expectations due to some pretty low reviews. I am a great lover of Asian horror and this did not disappoint. The acting is fabulous, especially the little girl she is amazing. As with many Asian horrors the photography in it is wonderful, from such a humble beginning (hans christian anderson fairy tale) to this is quite a journey.
