It's not Shark Tale, or Finding Nemo, nowhere near as clever or sharp witted (and of course original), as they were. There were split opinions on this, daugher and other half said what a rip off, but the kids in the audience were happy enough, and so was I... I thought it was a good enough tale with some pretty funny moments. I would say, don't try and compare it to severely, and it will be a reasonable watch. If you like a bit of fin fun this is fine.
Was not impressed with this at all. Compared to Finding Nemo it was terrible. Characters aren't as likable and the animation's not the best either. Ok for really young kids but I wouldn't recommend.
A complete rip off of Finding Nemo but a very poor badly written rip off. Kids hated it, I hated it enough said! don't bother with this load of rubbish it is not even worthy of the one star I had to give it!
When I saw the trailer to this film I just thought it was a rip off from finding nemo and guess what? It is. If you have seen the classic finding nemo and the so so shark tale then do not bother with The Reef. Words cannot express the ordacity of The reef's makers.Very, very poor

This story was really heart felt at the beginning. It was going somewhere and then it got all chessey. But I liked the chesse. A really good story about the underdog. With a dlop of getting everyone else to beat up the bully. Great for the kids and all the family.
I really tried hard not to compare this to the likes of Finding Nemo etc but it's just too difficult. It's just got something missing that those films had.
The animation is no where as near as good. The story was ok...and the comedy moments made me giggle but....I just wasn't THAT impressed!
This was absolutely terrible firstly the story line just dragged with very boring dialogue the animation compared to modern standards was way below average, which looked even worse on the big screen it was dull, grainy and very badly drawn the whole film was just ugly from content to visuals it gets one star for the finale ...it was just painful.
This is a very pale imitation of 'Shark's Tale'. I wish I could give some indication of a plot but I really don't believe the move had one to start with! Even my six year who will usually sit through most animated films gave up on this and went to draw a picture. This movie was a total disappointment.
It seemed all over the place at the beginning and I was getting bored as well as my grandkids (4 & 7). About half way through it really picked up and had them at the edge of their seats for the finish... so well worth the wait.
There were quite a few characters you could see from other very similar films. It was, however, an enjoyable Sunday afternoon film.
