More Mouse MayhemBy a customer from England , 01 Aug 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]It's actually rather good. The kid is just a cipher anyway: everyone knows the true protagonists of the Rescuers movies are Bernard and Bianca, who are American and Hungarian respectively - no problem with the voices there. It's a decent rescue movie, sharply paced, with animation that leaps ahead of `The Little Mermaid' (mermaid herself excepted). The na?ve computer animation will, I predict, age better than many more sophisticated attempts. (It already has.) There are moments of true humour. Why, then, did this film fail at the box office? I'll tell you why - it was the words `down' and `under' in the title.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideThis sequel is quite good, but a couple of things let it down. I think this is set a few months/ years after the first movie. The hospital scene seems to be a waste of time (and could potentially have children associate hospitals as scary places). Cody didn't think to return to McLean's ranch to free the other animals, or a reunion with his mum. The character of Frank as well was really annoying- I couldn't wait for him to be off screen. But lovely storytelling. Wilbur is Orville's replacement as the original voice actor died, so John Candy took over the role.
Flying HighBy a customer , 03 Aug 2013This film was just as wonderful as the first one. Again the fact of having two little mice and the friends they meet on the way, saving the day is lovely. This film was all about a little boy and his love for animals. He goes out every day just to help his animal friends but gets himself in a spot of bother when he meets a poacher. He goes out to stop him from getting some beautiful eagle eggs and the mother of them. This film has a wonderful story line with the lovely ending, of the animal he tried to save being freed and getting back to her eggs which finally hatch at the end of the day. My last point is of how nice it is to see the opposites of how a Golden Eagle which is a big bird can be helped by a small boy and vice versa. Team work at its best. Great Movie Overall.
As good as I rememberBy mchristi (4 reviews) , 04 Jul 2013At the time it was released the animation was groundbreaking. I remember how impressed I was at the flight sequences. I still love this movie and think it is even better than the original. my only criticism is why did they not have Australian characters? It disappointed me to hear Cody as an American. Zsa Zsa Gabor is great as Miss Bianca though.
Still love it!By LilPrincessPeaches (4 reviews) , 20 Jun 2012I loved this as a kid, I've been getting all the old, but lesser known Disney classics for my kids to watch, as well as the better known ones, and they love them too. They just don't make them like this any more!
