brilliant
such a classic comedy/love story. the humour is brilliant. first saw this short series of 6 half hour programmes in the mid 80's. It was so refreshing to view it again and 20yrs on, its just as amusing and entertaining as it was in the 80's. I am a big fan of David Essex anyway, but 'the river' is so well written, whether a fan or not, you will thoroughly enjoy this dvd. Certainly worth renting, and to make life easier the whole 6 programmes that completes the filming, is on the one dvd. Highly recommend, go on, try it !
