Hugh Sinclair makes his first appearance as Simon Templar, aka The Saint, in the seventh film of the crime drama series. While holidaying in Switzerland during the Second World War, Templar receives a secret code in the form of a music box which is later stolen by criminal Rudolph Hauser (Cecil Parker). With help from his friend, Monty Hayward (Arthur Macrae), and reporter Mary Langdon (Sally Gray), The Saint attempts to retrieve the box but finds himself in a dangerous game against villainous Nazis.
