A film of two parts. The first is almost insufferably boring and makes you want to scream with the claustrophobic routinme of suburbia. So many clever little tricks to repeatedly bash you over the hand with this (all ?) families predicaments. Very difficult to watch which makes the cathartic destruction of the second half so mesmerising and shocking. I love and hate Haneke but this goes into the former category.
