Gritty prison thriller The Shawshank Redemption has topped a poll of the best films never to win an Oscar. In a glaring oversight the Academy failed to bestow a gong on the inspiring tale starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. Jumper leaps to US top spot

Teleportation thriller Jumper, starring Samuel L Jackson and Star Wars' Hayden Christensen, has leapt to the top of the US box office chart in its opening weekend. According to figures from Nielsen, the film, which also stars The OC's Rachael Bilson and Jamie Bell of King Kong, was one of four films making their debut in the chart. Jumanji 2 to star Robbins

Tim Robbins looks to have joined the cast of the second film in the "Jumanji" series. "Zathura" is based on Chris van Allsburg sequel to "Jumanji" -written 20 years after the original. "Jumanji" was turned into a film in 1995 and despite staring Robin Williams underperformed at the box office.
