    Not too Bad!

Admittedly this is the first Van Damme film I’ve watched since the diabolical 'derailed' (So Bad!) but I was pleasantly surprised. The action for the most part is well choreographed and Van Damme delivers a convincing bit of acting. Most importantly are the fight scenes which kick ass!

It starts off with a classic fight scene in a bar where he beats the crap out of a few locals. Its too short a scene but it’s a sweet one, its believable and it leaves you wanting more; Which is probably the biggest fault with the film in general (apart from the dodgy plot).

There are only two other stand out moments in the film, a fight when he’s in prison and the end fight. Would it have hurt to take out some of the over-long gun battles that added little to the film and given Van Damme a few more minutes to kick the s**t out of stuff? The film however is worth watching just to see that Van Dammes’ still got what it takes; there are a few moments in here that shine!
