    [Highly rated reviewer]

In my opinion this DVD is the one of the best out of the Sherlock Holmes TV series. As always Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwick are excellent as Holmes and Watson, also you have the rare treat of seeing Peter Wyngarde playing a very creditable nasty villain. Conan Doyle's detective stories are always entertaining when adapted well and this is no exception. Recommended for a pleasant couple of hours veiwing.

Better quality film stock produces a better picture but this particular disc is average in terms of story/mystery. The earlier series is much better.
