Even though jeremy brett is by far the best sherlock holmes, the best hound of the baskavill is the 2002 bbc version.

  • Not the best but very good

There are so many versions of the story. This is not the best one from the point of view of scary atmosphere, but Brett and Hardwicke are always good to watch and the local colour, especially the railway, is very good.

  • More like bore of the Baskervilles

This Jeremy Brett version is pathetic. There is no atmosphere to the film at all, no comedy spark between Holmes and Dr Watson, and not scary in the least.

    Can't beat Basil Rathbone.
