Ever since first seeing this series on television and subsequently reading the book, I have long awaited it being released on either video or DVD. At last the wait is over!
I only noticed though because I was searching for an old B/W films that Bernard Cribbins had been in called 'The Wrong Arm Of The Law' and I found 'Shillingbury Tales' purely by accident. I don't think I have put any selection into my Rental Queue list quicker than I put these two series.
I'm a happy old Hector.
i remember this being on the tv in the early eighties, it was lovely and nostalgic to be able to view it once more, its one of those programmes that stick in your viewing memories
I loved it when it was first on television, I have waited & waited for it to come on DVD (or even video) and I've even gone as far as actually buying a them to keep. A lovely, lovely series.
