Four more adventures with everyone's favourite dysfunctional animated family. In 'Homer vs Patty and Selma', Homer is forced to turn to his hated sisters-in-law Selma and Patty for financial assistance, while Bart enrols in the school's ballet class - ay carumba! 'Marge vs the Monorail' sees Marge taking the moral stance (as usual) against the new Springfield monorail. In 'Homer vs Lisa and the 8th Commandment', Homer hooks up to cable TV illegally, and Lisa forces him to confront his conscience - doh! 'Bart vs Australia' sees Bart causing an international incident which earns him the wrath of Australia's Prime Minister. Can his family save him?

I have always loved the Simpsons, despite the fact that I am not that big on comedy. One reason being is the social aspect of the show- poking fun at modern day life [in the US],and other nations when the Simpsons get to travel...

...'Against the World' has some of the best episodes in it. Marge's campaign against the Monorail is one. Another is Homer vs Patty and Selma [his sister- in-laws].

A lot of modern humour is a bit too racy, some downright obscene;however, the Simpsons does not have to rely on the rubbish. The down to basics approach adds to the show and proves that gimmicks are not always necessary to get a laugh.
