Bruce Willis is the ...By a customer from Cambridge, England , 29 Aug 2003
[Highly rated reviewer]Bruce Willis is the famous star, but HJ Osmont is the real star - the young kid who perfectly captures the mood and leaves you with the memories
The film's about a messed up kid who thinks he's seeing ghosts, and his psychotherapist (Willis) who never quite seems to get a handle on things. The two protagonists are brilliant, supported very effectively by Toni Collett as the kid's single struggling mum.
The film's famous for its twist at the end. What it's not so famous for is the excellent DVD-only commentaries which help you understand the film and make you watch it again - when you realise that actually, despite knowing the twist, there's a lot more to enjoy.
Bruce Willis did this movie for love - and on the strength of it, did a sequel (Unbreakable - also very good, tho not as much). And he's not even the best actor. That's most of what you need to know

what a shameBy Jason-illybobs (4 reviews) , 05 Sep 2013The famous twist turns an otherwise well directed, enjoyable film, into a total farce. I know some films require a certain suspension of disbelief, but this is so full of huge plot holes, that it makes you question just how much effort went into bothering to tie things together. I was left questioning just what kind of mental capacity they thought the audience would have. A shame, a bit of planning and detail and it could have been a great film
A bit overrated for its spookinessBy Wormy (20 reviews) from Edinburgh , 21 Dec 2012A bit overrated for its spookiness but nonetheless, an entertaining 'horror' film that the whole family can watch. No one will go to bed scared of anything they saw, just with a few more spooky ideas in their head.
Great FilmBy Rio1234 (179 reviews) from Barking , 18 Oct 2012Not one for movies like this but Bruce Willis was great and the movie was one to enjoy from start to finish. Great story with a twist also this film made me cry one to add to your rental list..
A must seeBy StaceyShakespeare (1 review) , 05 Oct 2012I am a very big fan of horrors based on ghosts, and this is one of my favourites. With the two brilliant actors and the unexpected twist at the end just makes you want to watch it again. Brilliant film and I would highly recommend it :-)
