The finest thing to come out of American TV. Performances, writing, music are flawless. Each episode deepens your understanding of characters and the world they move in so that by the end you can spot every nuance and know exactly why they do what they do and why they are what they are. Whatever 'glamour' is hinted at in their world is more than offset by the brutality and misery that is always lurking off-camera and someimes takes centre stage. The concluding montage of the final episod illustrates this beautifully without a word being spoken. Superb.- Was this review helpful to you?

(68)Keeps getting better
By Bassman71 (618 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 16 Jul 2012Second series following the ups and downs of New Jerseys finest, the Soprano family.
After the strong foundations of the first series, this builds on the already well-rounded characters and adds even more depth throwing in a few surprises along the way.
Great acting again and definitely a mention for Edie Falco as Carmela Soprano who definitely comes into her own as the long suffering wife.
Again the soundtrack is an eclectic mix and Id say probably better than the first series.- Was this review helpful to you?

Love 'em
By MariElaina (25 reviews) from Bury St. Edmunds , 07 Jul 2012Excellent series! I think I am loving it even more than I loved The Wire & that was my all-time fav.
James Gandolfini is brilliant & expresses every emotion possible, his mother plays her part with total credibility as does just about every single character I've met so far.- Was this review helpful to you?

Out of the ball park
By wilful (13 reviews) , 04 Mar 2012Utterly superb . Storylines are excellent with an amazing cast.James Gandolfini's( Toni Soprano) Character is so complex ,gangster , loving father, killer , hard nosed businessman ,vulnerable, serial adulterer... but ultimately likeable. You find yourself rooting for the guy. Uncle Junior's expressions and one liners are hilarious, while his mother's two faced plotting and manipulation of others is staggering .A brilliant show .- Was this review helpful to you?

Soprano's !!!!! YEAAAHHH
By AgentCamm (10 reviews) from Peacehaven , 24 Jan 2012After watching the second series of soprano's I am quite litterally in awe of James Gandolfini. On the one hand he is a massive italian Gangster, the other a really sexy softy. I'm not quite sure if Id give him one, maybe if i was a little drunk.
Hope this helps,
Amy Camm.- Was this review helpful to you?
