This is a strange film indeed. The story is weird, frankly a bit daft. It doesn't have that much conventional 'horror'. But Karloff as ever demands attention, and the other acting is above par in my view. What really sells it though is the setting- 'swinging' London as it reall was, the cheap, the dirty and the nasty here as well as the flashy part'; and the music which is great for 60s lovers. It's the sort of film that leaves you demanding more, and as a previous reviewer has said that gives you a sense of sadness as the director died so young.
