Extremely slow, I don't think that I have actually got this bored in my life. Not much of a story line, bunch of soldiers that don't really get on and start to loose there minds. The dialogue is terrible, they just seem to be calling out each others names

  • Serious Horror...

... set in a forgotten modern civil war zone, the high Colombian jungles where Marxist guerrillas and the government have been making peasants' lives into a real living hell since 1964. The story works up the suspense nicely as the cast gradually fall prey to unseen forces while trapped up a mountain in an apparently abandoned military outpost. The actors make the soldiers believably aggressive, scared, desperate and superstitious, and the violence is convincingly bloody. Almost more of a political film than a horror film, and scarier for it.

Not worth the effort - looks promising but really the plot is poor - acting is ok - there is so much more they could have done with this movie but they didnt !!!!!!

  • Brooding But Dull

A moody but largely uneventful South American set horror. When a group of counter insurgency commandos are helicoptered in to investigate the silence of a fog bound hill top outpost things go wrong. Is their increasingly erratic behaviour a group of guilty men falling apart mentally and getting their long overdue come uppances or is witchcraft at work? Sadly not enough happens to really engage the viewer into caring much. This covers similar territory to Deathwatch, R-Point and The Bunker, the second two of which are better films than this one. Only for completists of the soldiers in peril sub genre of horror.

This film never gets going from the beginning. It plods along and even when the score builds to suggest something is about to happen it doesn't.

The plot is also flawed as it never explains what happened to the person/persons who bricked the woman up in the wall as the place is deserted?

Give this one a miss and try Dog Soldiers, The Hurt Locker or Jarhead for better soldier related movies.
