[Highly rated reviewer]An intresting selection for some if you like silent films .I belive these were not the best times for the geat two,but you can see the start of there comedy tradition.
For diehard fans only!By a customer from Nottingham , 25 Jan 2009Didn't enjoy this at all, looks like no restoration work has been done on the films. Not really the usual Stan and Ollie fun, quite drab with no laughs. Ordered it by mistake because I thought it was the really funny L & H sawmill film, which I later discovered is called 'Busy Bodies'.
Th learning tradeBy a customer from Yorkshire , 04 Nov 2005Whilst not a great fan of silent movies, I watched this out of curiosity. Not a great watch but you could see that they were going to be big in the movie field great apprenticeship being formed.
Festival impressiveBy philanthropist from Cornwall , 08 Sep 2005Fantastic documentary of equal calibre to the famous woodstock film featuring Jerry Garcia and the dead Janis Joplin, buddy guy and the flying Burrito Brothers and the band, not only playing at the festivals but jamming in the train that transported the musicians to the three festival sites in Canada
organised by a promoter who appeared to be more driven by his unique idea than profit.
An amazing record of a unique event that should be as well known as any of the 60's/70's festivals. if you are into the hippy music era and haven't seen this you have missed out. Rent it!!
