Lower body count and less intense than 24. Easy to watch and I liked the Brit/US mix.

It's far from a 24 rip off but it is a similar formula. You are drawn to the main characters and their issues balancing their official and personal roles/lives.

I guess there will be a another 'season' or two and I'll be watching it. I'm sure there are lots of story lines possible without getting quite as outragous as 24 has - mind you I'll be watching that too!!

  • Only five star rating I've ever given!

Kept us engrossed right from the start but it just kept getting better. I really recommend this if you like a plot where you have to engage your brain. The British and US element together gave it more depth than similar things I've seen. Great stuff from the BBC.

This is a marvelous tale that keeps one glued to the seat . The casting is outstanding. Much of the plot is as relevant today as it was when first seen on BBC. What a contrast with the current offering on Channel 4 Secret State. Only down side is the split on two discs delivered months a part.

Quite in-depth characters at the start, all at once, so unless you pay very good attention you will get confused with who is who. By episode 2 I was hooked & cannot wait for the conclusion...

  • Better as it went along

It took me a long time to get into this story though it had been recommended to me, so I persisted. I did 'enjoy' it (if you can say that about something that is at times quite gruesome and disturbing) as it does well at drawing you in to certain characters. Sharon Gless is excellent but too predictable as the American Secretary of Defence but the other characters are, on the whole, a lot more interesting. Probably better watched all together if possible, but I had big gaps between each episode which didn't help. If you like 24, Spooks and that sort of thing, you'll probably like this

yet another conspiracy theory Somewhat disjointed better on second watching. A bit far fetched . Over complex too ambitious and yet somewhat simplisticly anti Big Oil .
