A first class nostalgic wallow.

This is how an ENTERTAINING 'steam' DVD should be. Its one thing offering a purely technical and factual type of DVD, but another thing altogether producing one that really entertains, whilst still giving historical fact. This one scores on both counts, as it portrays the railway AND surrounding situations in times gone by AND shows how the railway keeps operating. One not to be missed.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Interesting
By a customer from Wimborne , 21 Aug 2008An interesting historical DVD of the K & ESR, up to 1986. Of particular interest was the very rare footage of the railway north of Tenterden, towards Headcorn. It had a slight 'home movie' feel about it, which isn't such a bad thing. Well worth watching even if you (like I did) have to endure the dreadful C & W style 'music' at the start, middle and end!- Was this review helpful to you?

Dull picture
By Alan Mitchell from Rhyl , 04 Nov 2006Maybe other reviewers are right but even though I am a steam enthusiast I found the DVD to be not of the high quality to be expected, maybe because it was homespun and not professionally done, and maybe I should have turned the brightness up a bit.- Was this review helpful to you?

Trains to Tenterden
By Martin Buckland from Oxford, England , 26 Jan 2006Now nearly 20 years old but a good record of the resurrection of the line. Lots of interesting quick shots of the human and technical detail, not just a series of 3/4 shots of trains going by. Sometimes the commentary doesn't address a particular shot but overall well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?
