Well I don't know why the first two complained. What did you expect from a japanese movie? Dubbed English?
If you want to know where Kill Bill got its ideas from then watch this movie. THe fight scenes are good but not as funny as the gore. Simple story, an assasin changes sides to save a girl and kills loadsa people. Good fun. (make sure you have a strong stomach though)
Japanese cinema has never been known for its hand-to-hand martial arts flicks, but leave it to the great nation that gave us Shogun Assassin to create possibly the most violent kung-fu movie ever! Those who've seen Sonny Chiba as the loveable old swordmaker in Kill Bill will be shocked to see him dishing out devasting levels of pain and gory dismemberment with his bare hands! Chiba plays an assassin for hire, whose great skill is matched only by his deeply amoral attitude - this is an anti-hero with almost no redeeming qualitys whatsoever, yet Chiba makes him strangely likeable and his story compelling to the end. Not for the faint hearted or the weak stomached.
