Lavish but lifeless adaptation of Hemingway's novel about the 'lost generation' of expatriates who hung out in Paris... read more on Time Out
The Paris parts were quite good a faithful to the book. By the time they got to Spain you would almost forget this was the early '20s and imagine them in 1955. They also skipped a lot of the details that make the book. You don't quite dislike some of the characters as much as you should. Worth watching if you have read the book or like 1950's films.
