Bee afraid. Bee very afraid...By a customer from The North Of England , 24 Aug 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Brilliant, gripping, engrossing, and superb are all words that appear in The Oxford English Dictionary. Unfortunately none of them apply to this amateurish mess.
Other words, words like wooden, absurd, laughable, juvenile, and embarrassing are far more appropriate. Caine, Widmark and their partners in crime should have been sent to an old offenders institution for inflicting this turkey on an unsuspecting public.
In real life bees are scary. Swarms of bees are even scarier. Swarms of killer African bees are pant-wettingly scary. So how this film managed to make them about as frightening as greenfly takes some understanding.

So Bad, It Almost Seems Like A SpoofBy AndyTRex (18 reviews) , 30 Apr 2012The dialogue is so cliched, the characters so stereotypical and the acting so ridiculously over the top, that this actually seems like a spoof of Irwin Allen movies.
Michael Cain's performance borders on high camp and it's not helped by the amount of mascara he's wearing.
It's good fun spotting the old Hollywood stars and watching them get bumped off one by one though!!
Hopeless farceBy a customer , 12 Apr 2012About as bad as a film can get without causing actual physical harm. What were all those big-name actors thinking to be involved with this drivel?
5 star swarmBy tiger2472 (9 reviews) , 08 Apr 2012This is vintage Irwin Allen at his best: I'll grant you that it may not stack up against a lot of the creature features made nowadays but it is still a top notch disaster movie
Fab FilmBy Danno (3 reviews) from Bournemouth , 25 Aug 2010Why are people saying that this film is rubbish?
I loved every minute of it.
It's a perfect early evening or bank holiday movie, the effects are simple but effective and you should watch this film not to seriously. There are times when i laughed out loud and there were times af real drama.
Rent this film today, get some friends round and get loads of cocolates etc. and have a real good time!
