Gritty Viewing

Martina Cole must be applauded for this must watch mini series. Bringing to life her gritty novel 'The Take' in such a clear, dynamic and visionary way. Set in the hardened East End of London amongst the gangsters and criminals live Freddie and Jimmy. Long time friends who are growing up in the Thatcher era of the 80's, pulling scams and getting deeper into the criminal world. Building reputations on both violence and respect through their harsh times.....problem is, only one is being given the respect on the streets. Watch as Freddie and Jimmy start to unravel, jealousy erupts and a path of devastation is put in motion..........fantastic series. Defo must see. Probably the only picture I have preferred over the book!
