Nonsensical drival at it's worst...By a customer , 02 Apr 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]Now I never leave reviews but I felt it my duty to warn against this film. I can only imagine that the lack of proper introduction is from the assumption that you have seen other versions of the Three Musketeers or have read the book. However all others versions are infinitely better than this humourless nonsensical load of rubbish. Matthew Macfadyen is wooden (though no surprises there), Orlando Bloom is a poor excuse for a villain and exhibits his lack of acting skills and James Corden's character is like something from a bad Panto! And don't even get me started on the flying ships..... Avoid at all costs!

Mission Impossible sorry Three Musketeers!By BBBlonde (18 reviews) , 10 Mar 2012Three Musketeers-Always enjoyed the films of such a great story and they have turn it into something completely different...
So normal story but with Mission Impossible style action, some great Ham acting and the best thing a Gunship that is a Airship lol.....Also all-sorts of over the top guns, swords and knifes that do all-sorts of stuff.....If you want a laugh and don't care about history or the story give it a watch just for fun.....
Three Musketeers: Standard Milla Jonovich FilmBy raptor1217 (202 reviews) from Wednesbury , 10 Mar 2012You've seen this before. Milla in some ridiculous costume designed to show off her body, does flips, skids along the floor to kick and stab at useless guards. The same as Resident Evil, Ultraviolet etc. Using barley the Alexander Dumas story (why are the Musketeers played by Englishmen?), with the added bits of Jonovich, and flying ships (Jesus), this is just dull. The fight scenes and special effects are nothing special and shows how people have just become bored with CGI. The characters of the Musketeers (who never carry muskets) are paper thin. You never get to like or hate them. The old 1980s films with Oliver Reed, were better in every way even taking into account my rose-tinted glasses, with better humour and directed sword fights not reliant on CGI or wire effects. For an easy waste of time watch this, with Orlando Bloom camping it up (especially with that earring) as Buckingham, yet the old films were much better.
Oh Dear" what a waste!!By Pablo666 (1 review) , 09 Mar 2012Was hoping this movie would be a modern version of the old classic but sadly this movie did not come up to scratch. Had to watch this film over 2 nights as fell asleep half way tthrough the first night. The script is plain, the acting very wooden and action scenes reminded me of resident evil and the matrix rather than a swashbuckling adventure. The characters in this version had no character surely something this film should have concentrated. In the end I had no interest in what happened to any of the main players... Not sure how some reviews think this is the best film they have seen but would certainly recommend watching the original movie over this every time and it looks like another one could be in the pipeline perhaps??
The yawn musketeersBy profius (1 review) , 08 Mar 2012Funny in places and when the action kicks in it is well choreographed, however the gaps in-between these moments are boring and I found myself falling asleep. Appearances from James Corden spiced it up a bit but not enough. Sorry but I prefer the 1993 version far better. It is worth the watch don't get me wrong but don't get to excited before you start watching it.
massively Disappointed...By esmki_b (44 reviews) from Basingstoke , 08 Mar 2012I was extremely disappointed with this film. The tale of the Three Musketeers is one of my favourites and only made more so with the like of Man in the Iron Mask and others but this was an epic fail.
Humour was very staged, fights and special FX were too obvious and I just found myself wanted to turn off but I so wanted this to be a good one!
What a shame!
