Brilliantly Funny, you won't stop laughing.

Coogan and Brydon playoff each other with great humour and impressions. Beautiful scenery and great comedy make this a road trip to remember.

  • Surprisingly very funny

Two comediens, Steve Coogan, Ron Brydon, playing them selves make a tour together of the North of England. Comes across as a clever unscripted romp ad libbing throughout. Witty and drole, dry humour throughout and lots of impressions. Entertaining

  • Beautifully boring

I only rented this because I was intrigued by the synopsis. I never cared for Coogan, but quite like Brydon. This did nothing to change my mind on either. It is basically a mix of a travelogue of Northern England, food & restaurant critique and the two actors continually doing impressions of various actors. Mostly they do Michael Caine and various Bond actors which, while slightly amusing at first, quickly becomes tedious and irritating. The landmarks and scenery were beautiful & stunning, but fail to make up for the lack of anything else happening. I found nothing funny in this and feel that I have lost nearly 3 hours of my life.

I watched this so many times already! Hugely enjoyable and constantly funny. Steve and Rob make such a funny and argumentative couple, it's like watching siblings arguing about everything.

Complete rubbish. What a waste of time. Slow, self indulgent and pointless, not to mention not funny in the slightest.

  • The beauty of the North - a different kind of road experience

It isn't Alan Partridge, it isn't stand up comedy. It isn't Brydon doing a routine. Rather it is an odd road movie showcasing the beauty of the North (perhaps also Scotland) with the backdrop of some fancy restaurants and even more stunning scenery. As other reviewers have said it is largely the 2 actors with a running theme of Coogan's missing girlfriend. Just as others I have been disappointed with post-Partridge Coogan vehicles but this doesn't qualify. There are some great impressions and some wonderful one-liners where both characters fight, quote and challenge each other.
