    4 Stars! 70s G.A.Y. Night - Definately Worth a look...

This is a good film. I laughed out loud. I wanted to know how it would end. I cared about the two main characters and what is more I had seen enough trailers to know the half of it. This film is about personal challenges and contradictions; family and friend ridiculousness and realism; behavioural cause and consequence. It happens to be about two guys in love with one another - so sue me! It happens to tell a story across 20 odd years very well. It happens to have an excellent sound track. It happens to be one of the best gay films I have seen since I started to rent from this site. I repeat: it made me laugh and I wanted to stay with the film to the end. That is what a good movie should do. There are honest performances (apart from over the top Alex Arquette) and I was convinced. However, the earth didn't shake; noone's life will change after seeing this film, and there have been much punchier endings but you could do much much worse than watch this film on a Friday night with the person you met, are still with, who might benefit from the odd reminder as to what's its all about... okay ...okay already... it's a gay chick flick with 4 stars and a Brad Pitt look alike to boot - watch it!! I loved it.
