This re-telling of the famous Hans Christian Anderson tale is in a word ugly. For a start it puts a yawn worthy modern take on the classic as an opportunistic rat discovers the duckling can dance (badly) and endeavours to cash in on this talent. There is none of the charm of a classic Disney or pixar film in fact it's almost completely charmless. The characters (even the hero) are not likeable and are quite irritating. The villains (a posse of rats) are standard movie fare but you wish they'd put us out of our misery by capturing the duckling and his annoying rat impressario. Just as you think things can't get worse the gallows execution scene appears to bring added horror to an already horrific film.
Great one for the wee ones. Didn't har a cheap from my daughter for all the times she watched it when we had it at home!
