Don't Waste Your Time
By a customer from Southampton, England , 27 Sep 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
I hired this because I thought it would be in the same league as Hammer Horror Films. Old and corny but still very watchable, What a disappointment from a good cast. Bad script, bad plots, a complete waste of time. Don't even think about hiring this one.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)More entertaining than most.
By glennwith2 (11 reviews) , 21 Feb 2013First and third episodes are well performed, directed and edited, with excellent dop work. Only the second,Canadian, episode is weak. Nice thespian camping from Pleasence and Eggar in the third. Anyone who has lived with a cat won't find the central premise that improbable!- Was this review helpful to you?

Uncannily Not So Great!
By a customer from Scotland , 16 Jun 2009Had heard of this film before and seen most of the Hammer/Amicus Horror colection short linked stories type movies already, this is a very average movie and the best of a bad bunch is actually the first story. The second story about a young girl & her pet cat, features some utterly atrocious bad dubbing of the little gitl clearly done by an adult! The effects in the first story were alright for the time it was made, in second segment laughable with cats paw at times that is blatantly fake like a stick waved into shot. If you've seen all the others and this is a - right I have to as it was for me, then maybe rent, otherwise avoid!- Was this review helpful to you?

Pussyfooting Around
By Zaroff (53 reviews) from Hay on Wye , 18 Nov 2006Any film that features an embarassed Peter Cushing slumming it, & attempts at making felines frightening & failing dismally should be a warning to the curious.
Donald Pleasance has the little bit of luck in that he is playing a parodying ham.
Otherwise, this painful schlock does not recall the golden-brass days of the 70's era at all. Pity.- Was this review helpful to you?
