I would reccommend anyone to go and see this film, especially if you enjoyed the korean film A tale of two sisters. The film provides shocking moments and a brilliant twist at the end, Which i honestly never expected. The title The uninvited doesn't really relate to the film in the aspect i thought it may of. And there could be more of a presence of spooks and moments to cringe at. but overall a watcher for any modern horror lovers.
This movie tells the story of a family in turmoil following the accidental death of a wife and mother of two. It begins as one of the two daughters, the youngest, returns home after being released from a mental hospital only to find the father has become romantically involved with the house help. She quickly teams up with her sister to unravel her Swiss-cheesed memory and establish whether the mothers death really was an accident. The story was interesting, not done quite the same as before, other than the original Korean version of course, the acting is of a decent standard and the general feeling is an eerie one. Sadly, whilst I remained blissfully ignorant throughout, glued to each twist of this relatively slow moving but entertaining thriller, my wife guessed the main twist and from this point on the story fell apart for us both. Not a bad attempt though and worth a watch just the once. 6/10. 3 Stars.

New horror film The Uninvited made its debut at number three, with... Read more
