Avoid
By a customer from Dundee, Scotland , 26 Feb 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
Do not rent this if you expect an exciting thriller. Woody Harelson is good, as is the acting in general, but the pacing is terrible. My first single star goes to The Walker.- Was this review helpful to you?

(90)On the cheap
By quintus (52 reviews) from Witney , 14 Aug 2011There is a rather good moral and psychological study at the heart of this disappointing film. Woody Harrelson I thought entirely convincing as the handsome, lightweight walker of political wives and ladies who lunch. He finds himself swept into a web of betrayal and in doing so finds that he is a better and more courageous man that he had thought himself. The problem is that the film is clearly made on the cheap. Perhaps all the money went on the big-name stars. At any rate, the Isle of Man where the film was shot is no substitute for DC (which is heralded by the same shot again and again). It gives it the feeling of a large film squeezed into miniature. The grandest house in the film is clearly some Edwardian hotel on the seafront at Douglas.- Was this review helpful to you?

Too stylised
By a customer from Letchworth Garden City , 14 Apr 2010Woody Harleson's accent is almost indecipherable to my ears which didn't help in this wordy film.
Couldn't engage with any other characters.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Walker
By Kela23 (601 reviews) from Wickford, Essex , 20 Jan 2010This film started off quite well but I have to admit about 20 minutes from the end I began to lose interest! It all got a little bit silly and complicated and in my opinion the ending was all a little anti-climatic....
Woody Harrelson and Kristen Scott Thomas were very good, as was the wonderful Lauren Bacall.
It wasn't a bad film but it definitely wouldn't be one I would watch again.- Was this review helpful to you?

URGH!
By a customer from Leyburn , 16 Sep 2009I turn this off after half an hour and can't believe it took me that long. Woody Harrelson plays should be put up for the most annoying character on screen and the plot seemed to go nowhere. A truly terrible film!- Was this review helpful to you?
