The War Bride

During the London Blitz, two childhood friends fall for Canadian soldiers. Lily (Anna Friel, THE LAND GIRLS) marries her man and becomes pregnant, like so many young women at the time, just as the father is posted abroad. She emigrates with her young baby to Canada as a 'war bride' to stay with her husband's unwilling family on their remote farm to eagerly await her husband's homecoming.
