Watch this and then call your Grandmother
By Waterboy (34 reviews) from Hertfordshire , 24 Nov 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
I love this film. It is a simple but powerful portrayal of the generation gap between the simple lives of an older generation and the junk food, computer game, self centred world of many of todays children. A beautifully crafted story about how unconditional love can break through this barrier and lead to a truly loving relationship. The actors are all superb, their is very little dialogue and therefore few subtitles, so little excuse not to watch this masterpiece.- Was this review helpful to you?

(16)life returns
By lukasz84 (75 reviews) , 25 Feb 2013the transcendental, invigorating quality of 'the way home' is nothing less than a spiritual and aestheic cleanse and a re-birth into a better world, into a clarity and purity that remains mostly banished from the western cinema, which is too fast and zigzagging. the catharsis is organic. the tears wash away the unnecessary, the energy is restored and calm. life returns.- Was this review helpful to you?

The way home.
By a customer from cambridgeshire , 19 Oct 2010If you don't find this film moving then someone needs to check you for a pulse! Both the old lady and the child are excellent and it is a simple but beautifully told little story. It might, hopefully make some of us look at our own kids and the way we raise them.- Was this review helpful to you?

A revealing relationship
By stellad (1 review) from Ryde , 01 Apr 2009This film is quiet, thoughtful and develops a relationship between a boy and his grandmother while carefully debunking all the values of the modern 'must have' society.- Was this review helpful to you?
