Adam Sandler is pitch-perfect in his role here as hopelessly romantic cabaret wedding singer Robbie Hart, who falls in love with waitress Julia (Drew Barrymore) at a nuptial function only to discover that she's engaged to someone else. The chemistry between the two stars works like a charm and director Frank Coraci has enormous fun with the music, fashions and fads of the mid-1980s setting. This good-natured, entertaining romp has a knowing sense of the ridiculous and it's topped off by a great pop soundtrack.

    Best Feel Good Film

This has to be my favourite all time film!

A sweet down to earth man meeting the girl of his dreams after being left at the altar. Throw in a cross-dressing keyboard player, mullet hair-do's an eighties setting and it makes a good movie for me.

Its easy to watch and Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore bounce of each other perfectly ... cant wait for their latest collaboration - 50 first dates.

Makes ya wanna laugh, cry and throw on those leg warmers. ( =

    Watch It!!

If you remember the 80's....the music the clothes and you like romantic comedies then this film should be right up your street. Its both funny and charming, totally predictable, but a joy neverless.

This movie was recommended to me by my work colleagues. They raved about it so entirely that my fianc? was concerned my expectations might have been set too high. Both of us loved it!!! One of the best feel good movies I have ever seen!

A great film to watch when you do not want to concentrate too hard. Nice storyline with a great sound track, some of the 'period costumes' bring back some scary memories ! Well worth a look if you are after an easy going feel good movie !

    Adam Sandlers 1st hit!

Watching a young Adam Sandler it was clear he had a great future, dependant on scripts of course.

this is a lovely simple love story starring Drew Barrymore. well worth watching as you will feel happy afterwards as its a feel good film.

    Pretty, pretty please

This has to be his funniest film to date. From the 80's setting, music and style to his breakdown, just brilliant!

    A great pairing!

I'm very surprised this is the first review of this great comedy.

Drew and Adam are a perfect match, to spar jokes off each other. This film is about as it says a "Wedding Singer" who starts to lose the plot, after being dumped at his own wedding.

From being the best "wedding Singer" money can buy, he turns into a emotional wreck, who trys to bring everyone down with him.

Then a new waitress comes to town (Drew), who does her best to get him to look on the bright side.

The jokes come thick and fast, supported by one of the best soundtracks ever.... if you like your 80's music.

Watch out for the scene when Adam Sandler plays a song he really did write himself, pure genius ;p

If you liked '50 First Dates', then you will love this as well.

Rent it, I very much doubt you will regret it.

    Good light weight fun

This is a light comedy with lots of charm but not with many moments that are hysterically funny.

I was amazed at how much Britpop music is associated with the 80's, although the Goy George look alike character gets unfair treatment in my view.

I agree that if you liked this, then you should check out "50 first dates" (which is more romantic), but I would also recomend "Punch Drunk Love" (romantic but querky). In all these films, Adam Sandler is really good.

    Saved by the music

Really enjoyed listening to the 80s music and laughing at the 80s clothes and hairstyles. Other than that it was a rubbish film. Few laughs, weak / predictable story line and some even weaker acting.

Broad comedy that succeeds by energy and its delight in the tackier fashions of the 80s.
