superb story of hicksville poland
A superb film - full of energy and detail about a wedding in rural Poland that goes increasingly wrong, via a slightly convoluted plot. A very dark and rather bitter comedy that I suppose is about plans, dreams, diversions and disappointments,, but not remotely sentimental or patronising - it's sharp on human nature and village life, and the overall effect is a bit of a riot.
